About Human Rights Organization
Human Rights Organization for Security of People (HROSP) was established on April 21, 2000, and is a registered charity under the Geneva United Nations. Since its inception, our organization has been committed to advocating for the protection and promotion of human rights across Sri Lanka and worldwide. Our core mission is to ensure that every individual, particularly those facing legal challenges and human rights violations, receives the protection, respect, and dignity they deserve.
Vision & Mission
Vision: To create a world where human rights are universally respected, where justice prevails, and where every individual has the opportunity to live a life of dignity and freedom.
Mission: To protect and promote human rights, provide legal assistance, and empower individuals and communities through education, advocacy, and support services, ensuring that all people, particularly the vulnerable, are treated fairly and justly.
Our Key Areas of Focus
Legal Aid and Support:
We provide legal assistance to individuals facing human rights violations and ensure access to justice for those who cannot afford it. Our network of legal professionals offers expert legal advice and representation.
Social Justice Advocacy:
We actively advocate for social justice, fighting against inequality and discrimination, and raising awareness about human rights. We work with policymakers, community leaders, and the public to create an inclusive society.
Community Empowerment:
Empowering communities through education and legal awareness is central to our mission. We conduct workshops and awareness campaigns to educate individuals about their rights and how to protect them.
