Organization Structure of HROSP
The structure of the Human Rights Organization for Security of People (HROSP) is designed to ensure efficient operations, effective communication, and the seamless implementation of our programs. Our organization is led by a strong team of professionals who are committed to human rights advocacy and providing support to individuals facing legal and social challenges. Our organizational structure includes the following key roles:
1. Executive Board:
The Executive Board oversees the strategic direction and policies of the organization, ensuring that HROSP fulfills its mission and objectives. This board consists of the following key members:
- Chairman: Dr. Abdul Hai
- Vice Chairman: Dr. FM Shareek (LLB)
- General Secretary: Uthaya Kumari (LLB)
- General Treasurer: ML Niyas (BIT, MIT Reading)
The Executive Board is responsible for making key decisions on organizational matters, approving major initiatives, and ensuring the overall success of the organization’s projects.
2. Provincial Directors:
The Provincial Directors oversee the activities of HROSP in specific regions within Sri Lanka. They ensure that the organization’s mission is being implemented at the provincial level and that local issues are addressed effectively. The Provincial Directors manage and coordinate all operations in their assigned areas.
3. District Directors:
The District Directors are responsible for overseeing the organization’s work in each district. They ensure that HROSP’s initiatives, programs, and legal aid services are running smoothly at the district level. They coordinate activities with local coordinators and manage relationships with community leaders, local government officials, and other stakeholders.
4. Coordinators:
The Coordinators are responsible for implementing the organization’s programs and providing support in specific areas, such as legal assistance, human rights awareness, and community outreach. They work directly with individuals in need of services and ensure that the needs of vulnerable populations are met. Coordinators also serve as a link between district directors and local communities.
5. Legal Lawyers:
HROSP maintains a network of Legal Lawyers in every district across Sri Lanka and globally. These legal professionals provide essential legal support to individuals facing human rights violations or legal issues. They represent clients in legal matters, offer consultations, and work closely with the organization to address legal challenges faced by marginalized communities.
6. General Members:
The General Members form the backbone of HROSP’s operations. These individuals are volunteers and supporters of the organization who help in organizing events, raising awareness, and supporting programs. Members may also assist with administrative tasks and provide valuable assistance in community outreach activities.
7. International Coordinators (Global Network):
HROSP’s work extends beyond Sri Lanka through its International Coordinators, who manage our global network. These coordinators ensure that the organization’s mission is carried out internationally, assisting marginalized communities and advocating for human rights in various countries.
8. Award and Recognition Committee:
The Award and Recognition Committee is responsible for identifying and recognizing outstanding social activists and human rights advocates. This committee plays a critical role in selecting annual awardees based on their contributions to the field of human rights and social justice.
